About me

I’m an English teacher and poet based in Cambridge. I combine teaching in a secondary school with being a course tutor on the Cambridge PGCE English course, and writing poetry. In my spare time I love walking, and I’ve recently developed some reading and writing courses based around the beautiful Peak District village of Hathersage.

In the last few years I’ve had poems published in The North, Magma, Under the Radar, Impossible Archetype, Brittle Star, Butcher’s Dog and Ink, Sweat and Tears. In 2019 I was longlisted in the National Poetry Competition and Highly Commended in the Bridport Prize, and in 2020 my draft pamphlet, Other Women’s Kitchens, was shortlisted in the Magma Pamphlet Competition.
